Add a extra day to your Yellowstone
Snowmobile adventure with our new “Lamar
Valley Wolf and Wildlife Tour.” Lamar Valley, located in
the northern-most section of Yellowstone, is often America’s own
“Serengeti.” Due to a milder climate, many of Yellowstone large herds of
bison, elk, antelope, and mule deer winter here. The rocky habitat is
also perfect for spotting big horn sheep and mountain goats. This
abundance of wildlife attracts the predators. Four wolf packs make Lamar
Valley their home constantly challenged by other roving packs in the
park. This is your best chance to see the wolves in Yellowstone in the
winter!
Join us as we snowmobile north through the Norris Geyser Basin,
traveling through high mountain meadows and spectacular vista’s. You’ll
leave your snowmobile behind at the top of Mammoth Hot Springs and be
transported for an overnight stay in Gardiner, Montana. Early the
following morning, you’ll be picked up and transported via 4-wheel drive
van to Lamar. Your guide from Yellowstone Yearround Adventures, an
expert in northern Yellowstone, will provide spotting scopes and
binoculars for an up-close-and personal view of the incredible wildlife.
As the winter sun rises and fortified by a hot and home-made breakfast,
you’ll sit back and listen for the howls of wolves.
After a morning of wildlife viewing and additional sight seeing, you
will be treated to a hot lunch of home-made soup and rolls (nothing
could be better on a winter’s day!). Then, back through Mammoth Hot
Springs and to your snowmobile for a ride back to West Yellowstone.
Our Yellowstone experts will help you add this special experience to
your Yellowstone winter adventure. Or, talk to us about extending your
northern Yellowstone trip for a second. Custom tours to your special
photography and wildlife interests also available. Call for pricing and
availability. |
